Heddy Kun was born in Zagreb in 1936 and was raised by her grandparents in Budapest after her parents perished in the Holocaust. She graduated from the Academy of Art there, and then left in 1956 for Israel where she married Zeev Kun.
She has an extraordinary sense of color discernible in her still-life work with flowers as well as her landscapes.
